Let's see where this goes!
Geneva Bible
In the late 1400s through the early 1500s, Martin Luther and William Tyndale challenged the established authorities of England and Germany regarding the interpretation, transcription, and translation of the original Hebrew and Greek texts of the scriptures. Their faith and the sacrifices they made have enabled believers with the means to read God's word and obtain the Holy Spirit, understanding the scriptures as both protection, weapon, and guide.
Our mission is to enlighten Gods children through scripture, steering them away from the world's evils and wickedness, which contradict God's word. We aim to lead them to faith in Christ and a transformation into a newness of life of righteousness. This change is by spiritual guidance that can only be provided through the Holy Spirit of God.
We respectfully diverge from traditional church methods, emphasizing the importance of personal engagement with scripture. The scriptures help us understand that by reading the word for ourselves, we can receive revelation and understanding from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Savior through the Holy Spirit. Gods word opens the way to comprehending righteous doctrine, patience, love, and more, and as intended.
But do not take our word for it, read it for yourselves... :-)
1 Timothy 4:13 - Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
1 Timothy 4:16 - Take heed unto thyself, and unto learning: continue therein: for in doing this though shalt both have thyself and them that hear thee.
Psalms 119:105 - Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
2 Timothy 3:16 - All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
Romans 15:4 - For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
Psalms 119:11 - Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
2 Timothy 2:15 - Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Colossians 3:16 - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Hebrews 4:12 - For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Psalms 119:9 - BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
Luke 24:45 - Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
Matthew 4:4 - But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Having delved into our purpose, we pose a question: how can one truly understand without taking the time to know? God is powerful, mighty, and all-knowing. Traditional practices of gathering have, over time, led many away from the truth. This truth emphasizes the critical need to read His word directly and to equip oneself with the Whole Armor of God.
Our community reads Gods word literally and spiritually. Every word and spoken point is found within scripture.
